About Lisa:
Dr. Lisa Avery became the President of Linn-Benton Community College in 2020. A first-generation college graduate, Lisa is from a small town in Northwest Indiana. Her degrees are from Ball State University and University of Illinois at Chicago. She has worked in higher education for over 25 years and has guided LBCC through the challenges of COVID and its aftermath. Lisa and her family live in Millersburg; her wife, Allison, is a small-business owner, and their daughter Ella attends South Albany High School. Their oldest, Emily, will graduate from Oregon State University this June.
